"Few parts of Britain feel as spacious as the
north Norfolk coast on a winter’s day. Depending on your mood, you can stride across the sands at Holkham, or use loops of the coast
path to explore the salt marsh between Stiffkey, Morston , Blakeney and Cley. In spring, the boats return to the muddy creeks, but
in winter they are home to the empty wind and egrets. For an expedition rather than a stroll, try the three-mile trek along the shingle
bank to Blakeney Point, where seals wallow at the tide line and the dunes have a Saharan scale."
